A New Last Name

It’s no coincidence that my last post was on January 4, because on January 6, Ian Philbrick changed the game by asking me to marry him. Fast forward five months—a flurry of wedding planning and marriage prep, but also the sweet joys of everyday life with our community—and here we are, the Philbricks.

All that to say, McGee Nall is officially retiring and will slowly become McGee Philbrick across all lanes of my life (and I’m sure it’ll take me longer than I think to make that change across every nook and cranny). After devoting large sections of my mind and heart towards this wedding season, I’m excited to open those spaces up for writing and creating again. But for now, I’ll enjoy settling into sweet married life…and looking at these photos too many times (all shot by my long-time friend and photographer, Ruthie Martin).
